Continuing A "Legacy"

Together and over time, John and Molly have started programs, built and ran kennels, improved what they were handed and then hand it off for others to move forward.  They felt it was time to go out on their own and reap the benefits of their work ethic. They had a vision of a place where they would have land in which they also lived and would be able to build a kennel but a bit different than most commercial kennels out there.  They wanted a place that was a bit more intimate; one that would allow them to build relationships with their clients, get to know the dogs and not just treat them like a number, and provide quality care and training for owners so they would enjoy the furry members of their families. It was a vision they had no idea would work but it felt right so the search was on.

It was their original intention to open a kennel in Colorado where they lived but a visit to see family brought John, Molly, their two children and two fur-babies to the area which led them to meet two wonderful ladies, Janice and Brynn Byers. Here it was....the vision! It was what they had hoped would work ...in action...and successful.  The kennel was opened in 1980 by the Byer's Family and has operated as such ever since. After over 40 years in the business, Janice Byer was ready to retire and was in search of someone to continue the kennel as well as honor their long time clients and now friends.  All involved felt it was meant to be and so Legacy Canine Boarding and Training, LLC was born. John and Molly feel it is an honor to carry on the legacy the Byer's created here and with that they look forward to meeting you.
